J.P. Morgan has just made a big hire for its infrastructure investment fund. John Lynch, who most recently worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, has just joined as a managing director.
Lynch worked at BAML for over 15 years, and was latterly a managing director and head of power, utilities, infrastructure and renewables. He joins J.P. Morgan as a managing director focused on infrastructure within its principal investments group. He’s based in London.
He spent the vast majority of his investment banking career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, but the new role marks a return to J.P Morgan. Lynch was an associate in oil and gas investment banking from 1998-2000 in New York. He joined BAML’s UK operation in June 2000.
Lynch started his career at management consultant Arthur D Little, which he joined after graduating from Dartmouth College in 1992. He then went to study an MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and made the switch into investment banking immediately after.
